Project Environmental Manager / Senior Environmental Engineer (H/F)

Les missions du poste
You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from tendering and planning through to execution, commissioning and project close-out.
Project Environmental Management
o Develop, implement and maintain Project Environmental Management Plans (PEMPs).
o Identify, assess and manage environmental risks associated with industrial activities, onshore installation works and marine operations.
o Ensure compliance with applicable environmental legislation, regulatory requirements, permits, consents and contractual obligations.
o Establish and maintain environmental compliance registers, procedures and monitoring systems.
o Provide expert environmental advice to Project Managers and support operational teams in integrating environmental requirements into project activities.
Environmental Risk Prevention and Protection
o Develop and monitor measures to prevent pollution and minimise environmental impacts.
o Contribute to the protection of biodiversity, terrestrial and marine ecosystems, soil and water resources.
o Oversee environmental activities relating to waste management, emissions, resource efficiency and circular economy practices.
o Conduct or coordinate environmental inspections, compliance assessments and audits.
o Investigate environmental incidents and non-conformities, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
Stakeholder Coordination, Reporting and Continuous Improvement
o Monitor environmental performance indicators, including waste, emissions, fuel consumption, biodiversity and resource utilisation.
o Work closely with project teams, engineering departments, manufacturing facilities, subcontractors and suppliers.
o Liaise with clients and relevant regulatory authorities on environmental matters.
o Provide environmental expertise during tendering and project preparation phases.
o Support environmental training, awareness and knowledge-sharing initiatives across project teams.
o Contribute to the continuous improvement of environmental management processes, tools and practices.
Le profil recherché
Ideally, you have 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in environmental management within industrial projects, construction or complex infrastructure developments.
Candidates with different levels of experience may also be considered, depending on their technical expertise and ability to take ownership of environmental responsibilities.
Experience in one or more of the following sectors would be particularly valuable:
o Energy infrastructure and high-voltage power transmission.
o Renewable energy and offshore wind projects.
o Industrial construction and major infrastructure developments.
o EPC / EPCI projects (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation).
o Oil & Gas and marine infrastructure.
o Onshore or subsea power cable installation.
o Industrial manufacturing and multi-site project environments.
Technical Skills and Expertise
o Strong knowledge of project environmental management principles and practices.
o Experience developing and implementing Project Environmental Management Plans (PEMPs / EMPs).
o Good working knowledge of UK environmental legislation, environmental permitting and consent requirements.
o Proven ability to assess, manage and mitigate environmental risks.
o Experience conducting environmental audits, compliance inspections and corrective action programmes.
o Understanding of biodiversity protection, marine environmental impacts, waste management and pollution prevention.
o Ability to work effectively with operational teams, Project Managers, clients, contractors and international stakeholders.
o Fluent English, both written and spoken, is essential.
Professional environmental qualifications, certifications or membership of recognised organisations such as IEMA or CIWEM would be an advantage.

You communicate effectively with different stakeholders, confidently provide recommendations and support project teams in implementing practical solutions.
